It is freezing today!! It is only 10am and we are in the middle of our second snow storm  – which can only mean one thing for us at feast – soup!!! We sell soup by the bucket load and this week we have roasted sweet potato or chunky minestrone to warm you through.  We make all soups ourselves using fresh ingredients, and you can tell. And if you are not sure that you will like it – ask us for a taste – tasting is believing and we are happy to give you a sample of the soup, we dont very often get a ‘no thanks’ after a taste test!

So how many of you have tried our new fairtrade coffee bean?  Well quite a few it seems and the feedback is good!! It  is a much milder bean than our previous blend and it is proving very popular.  We love it and have chosen it not just for its taste but also because it is fairtrade and supportive of the  rainforest alliance, which is very important to us; read our ‘coffee’ page and find out more.

I can not believe that almost 3 years and 7 months after we traded our first day in the shop (11th July 2006) – we finally have a website!! All credit to Henry at Washhouse Design  - I am not sure I could have worked with me!! The site looks fabulous, it is exactly as I wanted it to be.  Now I am left in charge of it – the updates and the content –  so please bear with me ; as those who know me will testify I am not known for my IT prowess. Henry assures me however that I will be fine – and he is just up the road from the shop so should hear me screaming when I press the wrong button! Here’s to keeping in touch with you wonderful people, known as our customers, and here’s to Henry – Great Job – THANK YOU!!  Jenn x
